Tomato Bacon Dip with Corn Chips

Tomato Bacon Dip with Corn Chips is a unique flavor twist that’s totally addictive. My Aunt Beth turned the family on to this scrumptious dip many years ago. I hadn’t made it in an age and it’s SO easy! And the best part: I had all 4 ingredients on hand. I almost always have what it takes, but I’d totally forgotten about this wonderful stuff. So I whipped some up and took pics to share.

Any brand of canned diced tomatoes will work in this recipe, however, I don’t recommend using fresh. Same with the brand of mayo and sour cream, though full fat tastes best. I use low-fat to savn a boatload of calories. The best bacon bits for this recipe, by far, are Hormel black label jarred. They’re the perfect texture with no fatty pieces. But if you don’t have that brand on hand, use what you have! It’ll still taste wonderful!

One of the simplest dips I make is only 2 ingredients! A 16 oz. container of sour cream mixed with 1 packet of buttermilk ranch dressing mix. Oh my word is it good with bite-sized pieces of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots for a super low carb snack or appetizer! The same dip is also the bomb with potato chips and pretzels. Change it up just a tad and use a packet of dry onion soup mix (best to let chill in the fridge for several hours before eating).

Bacon Tomato Dip

  • 1 15 oz. can diced tomatoes, drained very well
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 jar bacon bits
  • 1 bag corn chips (scoops work best)
  1. Mix all ingredients well. Chill in the fridge for a couple of hours. Store leftovers in the fridge.

6We’re a family that loves pre-food food. 😁 So here are a few of our other faves. Moreover, I’ll be posting more delicious appetizers down the road. With the holidays coming, everyone is looking for easy, tasty new recipes to try. This piping hot Green Chili Artichoke Dip is awesome with tortilla chips and keto crackers. Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers take a bit of work, but are definitely worth it! Everyone loves Chipped Beef Cheese Ball! You can never go wrong with that appetizer. Happy eating!
