The best gatherings ever all have one thing in common: lots of delicious food. Whether it’s a 4th of July cookout or Thanksgiving dinner, conversations are much more enjoyable shared over a table laden with tasty drinks, appetizers, sides, casseroles, desserts, and whatever meat happens to be the focal point. No matter what the occasion, a good cheese ball is always welcome. There are many ways to make them and all are relatively easy. This Chipped Beef Cheese Ball (aka Dried Beef) only has 5 simple ingredients, but tastes like a million!Chipped-Beef-Cheese Ball-Culinary-CraftinessChipped Beef Cheese Ball

2 (8 oz) pkgs. cream cheese
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 green onions, finely chopped (or 1/2 small white onion)
2 packages Buddig beef, finely chopped
Plastic wrap

Unwrap cream cheese, place in a mixing bowl, and let soften for an hour or so.

Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion. Mix with an electric mixer or by hand to thoroughly incorporate all ingredients. Scrape into a ball shape in the bowl.

Lay out a large piece of plastic wrap on the counter. Place a small pile of the chipped beef in the middle of the plastic and turn the ball out onto the pile. Using your hands, take the rest of the chipped beef and pat it all around the ball, pressing it in to make it stay and to keep the ball shape. (Or you could pat it into a log shape.)

When all the beef is on the cheese ball, wrap it in the plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for several hours before serving.

To serve, unwrap and place on a plate surrounded by your favorite variety of crackers.Chipped Beef Cheese Ball | Culinary CraftinessChipped Beef Cheese Ball | Culinary Craftiness
