Crazy Batter Pizza Crust – Have you ever planned to make something for supper only to realize you’re missing a key ingredient? Homemade pizza was on the menu and I thought I bought our favorite Jiffy pizza crust mix. I was wrong. And I had no yeast to make a traditional dough. As luck would have it, I’d seen a facebook meme of something called “Crazy Crust Pizza.” I have no idea who the author of that meme was… …This whole post was started a couple of years ago and I never finished it. Sometimes life gets in the way of our best laid plans. 🙃
I put on my super sleuthing hat and found the person who originally posted it. I want to give credit where credit is due so you can take the recipe from here or her site at Sage Trifle. She got the recipe from the back of a bag of Pillsbury flour with a copyright date of 1969! She posted the picture. I just love stuff like that!
I gave this crazy batter pizza crust a try and it turned out great! And then I intentionally made it again. And again. 😋 It’s so much easier and less messy than liberally coating my hands with oil and stretching out springy pizza dough that wants to keep shrinking back into a ball. I’m not saying I quit making traditional pizza dough, but it’s nice to have a great tasting change every now and then. I think you’ll like it, too.
