Italian Sausage Tortellini Bake – Are you tired of boring old tortellini with a boring old sauce? It certainly wasn’t anywhere near the top of our favorites list. However, I decided it couldn’t hurt to kick it up a notch with Italian sausage and lots more cheese! Super yum! Add some garlic bread and a salad for a great meal. 😊

If you have a great homemade sauce recipe, use it! I haven’t really tried to make a simple pasta sauce, just an over-the-top Bolognese sauce. It’s killer, but I didn’t have the time or all the necessary ingredients. We love Mid’s jarred pasta sauce and it makes for easier meal prep. Cooking semi-homemade works for me! 😀
Italian Sausage Tortellini Bake
- 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
- 2 cup Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
- 19 oz. frozen cheese tortellini
- 1 (32 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cook tortellini according to package directions. While the pasta is cooking, cook sausage. Drain off any excess grease.
Drain tortellini well then return to pot. Add sausage, spaghetti sauce, half the cheeses, and mix well.
Spray a 9×13 pan with oil. Spread tortellini mixture in pan. Sprinkle with remaining parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is lightly browned around the edges.
Happy eating! 😊
