Caramel Drizzled Crescent Apple Dumplings is another great little recipe compliments of facebook. I don’t remember who shared it, but I had the ingredients and the gumption to make it. The one thing that gave me pause was the Sprite. I thought for sure all that liquid would make the whole dessert a big glommy mess. I was wrong. ☺These are super easy to make and simply scrumptious warm with a drizzle of caramel syrup and a nice plop of vanilla ice cream on the side. You’re going to want to double the recipe. 😋

Caramel Drizzled Crescent Apple Dumplings
- 1 apple, any kind
- 1 (8 oz) 8-count can of crescent rolls
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 6 oz Sprite, 7-Up, or Mountain Dew
- Smucker’s Sugar-free Caramel Syrup, optional
Core and peel apple into eight slices.
Unroll and separate the can of crescent rolls. Place one apple slice on the wide end each, sprinkle with a little cinnamon, and roll it up.
Place in a buttered 8×8 pan or if doubling, a 9×13 works.
In a bowl combine melted butter, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Pour over all the crescent rolls.
Pour Sprite all around the crescent rolls, but not on them.
Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until crescents are golden brown.
Serve warm with caramel syrup and vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Happy eating! 😊
I love this, thanks for sharing

I’m so glad you love it! We do, too! It tastes equally delicious with regular sugar or Splenda. 🙂
