Spanish Pasta

This pasta version of Spanish Hamburger (which is served on buns like Sloppy Joe's) is a delicious one-pot dish that's very filling and made with healthier ingredients. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil single source origin
  • 1 lb grass-fed ground beef
  • 1 organic onion, diced
  • 1-2 organic green bell pepper, ribs and seeds removed, diced
  • 1 29 oz organic tomatoes (pureed, diced, or stewed)
  • 1 can spring water
  • 1 tsp iodized sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp organic ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Accent (MSG), optional

Instructions
 

  • In a 6 or 8 quart pot, brown the ground beef, onion, and bell peppers in the olive. Do not drain the healthy fats.
  • Add the tomatoes with its liquid and water. Break up with a spoon if using stewed.
  • Stir in the pasta and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover with lid (partially tilted to release steam) and turn heat to medium-low. Let cook for 15-18 minutes, or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally .
  • Serve with a crusty bread to sop up the juices.
