This rich, sweet and tangy dressing is reminiscent of good steakhouse French and old Mom & Pop diners. Use as many organic ingredients as you can find!
Place oil, ketchup, sugar, vinegar, onion, lemon juice, mustard, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a large wide mouth mason jar with a tight-fitting lid; cover and shake until well blended. Or use an immersion blender.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill. Shake again before serving.
Use within a couple of weeks. If using olive oil and it becomes solid in the fridge, let sit on the counter for 10-15 minutes to warm up enough to shake.
